Dinner Dance 2011

We held our annual dinner dance in association with our Camogie Club, on Saturday night 5 March 2011 in Inisfail, Baltinglass.

Our thanks and congratulations to Damien Byrne, Patricia Keogh and their committee who organised the dinner dance.

Special Guests:

Special guests on the night were Wicklow County GAA President Peter Keogh, Former County Board Chairman, Andy O’Brien and his wife Anna and Wicklow County Camogie Chairperson David Murray.

The night very much belonged to the ladies who were celebrating their Camogie Championship and League double.

David Murray, Wicklow County Camogie Chairperson  presented the League and Championship medals to the Camogie players and presentations were also made to the trainers and selectors involved with the teams

Andy O’Brien presented the Dessie Murphy cup and Senior Hurling medals  and our Club Chairman Pat Keogh made a presentation to Andy O’Brien for his achievements as County Chairman.  Secretary Colm Doyle presented a bouquet of flowers to Andy’s wife Anna.  Wedding presents were presented to James and Mary Doyle and to Sean Pollard and his wife.

Hall of Fame 2011:

The Kiltegan Hall of Fame Award was announced and presented by Peter Keogh to Matt Finn.

Matt had a very distinguished career with both Baltinglass, Kiltegan and the County.  Matt won junior, intermediate and senior championship medals with Kiltegan and also manager and trained teams in the club at all levels.

Matt played for many years with Wicklow from under 21 to Senior and is still a great Club man.  A bouquet of flowers was also presented to Matt’s wife Pauline by secretary Colm Doyle who was also a very able Master of Ceremonies on the night.

County Teams:

Well done again to our County hurlers who beat London 1-15 to 1-14 in London on Sunday and now move to top of the table.

We wish our County Hurlers and our County Footballer's further success on Sunday next 13th March in Aughrim when we play Derry and Longford.
