Our Senior Football team played out an exciting draw with Blessington in the Senior Football Championship in Aughrim on Saturday evening, with a score line of 1-11 each.  We played against a strong breeze in the first half and found ourselves 1-5 to no score after 15 minutes but changes made to the starting line-up which saw Jacko Dalton moved to midfield and Seanie Furlong back in at full forward turned the game. It was Seanie who was fouled in the square to win a penalty, which he scored himself, that brought  us back into this game.  In fact we were on level terms after 20 minutes of play thanks to Seanie’s points and went in level at half time at 1-6 each.  We dominated most of the second half and were three points up at one stage.  Some bad misses gave the opportunity to Blessington to level the match.  In fact they could have won the match as their last free came off the post.  This draw leaves us with an uphill battle to qualify when we play Tinahely next Sunday.  Kiltegan scores came from Seanie  Furlong 1-6, Padraig Keogh 0-3 , Rory Finn & Anthony Furlong 0-1 each.
