Our Senior Football Team played Tinahely in their last match in their group in the Senior Football Championship in Baltinglass on Sunday evening, knowing that before the ball was thrown in for this championship match they had to win by twenty points to qualify for the quarter finals. Our team really took on the challenge just coming up short in the finish on a score line of 1-18 to 0-5. A missed  penalty early in the first half and some bad shooting and some near misses for goal and points meant we come up short in the finish so that ends our involvement in this year’s championship. We had to play most of this match with 14 players as Jim Bob was sent off early on.  Our scores came from; Seanie Furlong 0-9, Anthony Furlong 0-5, Padraig Keogh, 1-0, and John O’Toole, Michael Foley, Jeffery Bermingham  &  James Doyle 1pt each.
